Ryan Bota, P.E., is the owner and senior engineer of ARBOTA Engineering, PLLC, bringing years of expertise and a hands-on approach to each project, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and innovative engineering solutions.
Education
Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. His coursework included bridge design, steel design, timber design, and structural stability, providing a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of structural engineering.
Engineering Experience
With extensive experience in structural engineering, Ryan has led and contributed to various high-profile bridge design and load rating projects. Specializing in concrete, steel, and timber design, he has successfully completed final designs for a range of bridge structures, ensuring compliance with AASHTO and state regulations. His expertise also includes engineering falsework systems, designing girder heat straightening repairs, and providing construction engineering services for complex projects.
Construction Experience
Before transitioning fully into engineering, Ryan gained hands-on experience in construction. As a Union Carpenter and Laborer, he worked on various bridge projects, focusing on falsework layout, concrete placement, and tasks for bridge components such as decks, barriers, and abutments. This practical experience provided him with valuable insight into on-site construction processes, further enhancing his engineering expertise.
